"The Four Elements" series is one of my favorite projects from Renegade Hardware (after the "The Harder They Come" series), and this CD sums it all up quite nicely. Friction's mixing is really clean and straightforward, and the track selection is amazing. Standout tracks include "Fallin'", "Aurora", "Platinum" and "Sphinx". All the cuts are top notch, and this definitely represents the quality control that Renegade Hardware is capable of having.
This is a money cd. It's tough clean sharp dnb. The track selection is excellent, and the mixing straight forward. No tricks, just a clean mix, and the result is superb. If you're looking for range in a dnb mix, this isn't your cd. The tempo and feel is pretty consistent throughout. Try dj db or nicky blackmarket if you want range.
