Notes
2006 Soundevice release "Final Cuts".Formed in the Fall of 2003, Soundevice was a straight forward rock group featuring Erik Rogers, Craig Maule, Jason Grover and Billy Grey. Several drummers played with the group including Ryan Vikedal, of Nickelback fame.
After having many bands, Erik joined Stereomud with two major label releases Perfect Self, and Every Given Moment (Columbia Records), followed with several successful U.S. tours. After parting with Columbia Records in the summer of 2003, Erik decided that he wasn't done with the music business. Erik and Craig wanted to collaborate on a side project when Erik wasn't on the road with Stereomud. At the time, Craig was winding down a regional tour with a band(420 Monks) and wanted to start something new. Erik and Craig got together with longtime friend, Cheney Brannon (Collective Soul), and started jamming on some material. Cheney introduced guitarist Jason Grover, formerly of Bend (Roadrunner Records), and the new group wrote several songs within a matter of days. Two months later, Billy Grey(Sickspeed/Fozzy Method 51) joined Soundevice as the second guitarist.
By the Summer of 2004, Soundevice released their debut album , "The World Goes 'Round." For the next year, Soundevice toured all over the Mid-west and Eastern United States, including tours with Sevendust, Collective Soul, Brand New Sin and select festival shows(New Orleans Voodoofest, X-fest in WV, and WJRR's Earthday Birthday in Orlando).
In June of 2005, Cheney parted ways with Soundevice to join Collective Soul. Within a few weeks the band hooked up with Ryan Vikedal, formerly of Nickelback. After several shows with Ryan, the band headed back into the studio. Eight songs were recorded and Soundevice hit the road to tour through 2005. In the winter of 2006, the band got back in the studio to finish work on the new record. With most tracks done, Soundevice toured from late Winter into Summer, with new management agressively pursuing producers/record labels. After no such luck and three years of hard work Soundevice went on hiatus.
On behalf of Soundevice, I feel is only fair to our fans & friends to finally release this last record. "Final Cuts" contains 12 tracks of Soundevice's last studio material.
